Goldie
Stagg
September 29, 1947 – January 9, 2023
It is with profound sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Goldie Frances Stagg (Best) of Lumsden on January 9th, 2023, at the age of 75 years.
She will lovingly be remembered by her husband of 55 years, Ernest. Children: Miranda (Edward), Claudia (Enrico), and Justin (Kay). Grandchildren: Ethan (Mary), Madisan (Jordan), Emma, Shawn and Jackson. Sisters: Anne, Marilyn (Maxwell), Sisterly Niece Kimberly (Brent) and Sister in Law Bernice. As well as her extended family and a large circle of special lifelong friends who also loved her dearly.
Goldie was predeceased by her daughter Kelly, her wonderful parents, Robert and Minnie Best, brother Job Best, son-in-law Tyler, and brother-in-law Walter.
Her beautiful grandchildren were her pride and joy, the apple of her eye. Her presence in everyone's life will be missed intensely. Goldie survived many hurdles in her life, none of which surpassed or came close to losing their precious daughter Kelly at 14 years old, a wound her heart never recovered from. Goldie's deep faith in the bible's promise recorded in Acts 24:15 that the dead would be resurrected to life on a paradise earth and that she would be reunited with her dear daughter and all other loved ones gave her strength to endure. It would be her greatest wish that those who loved her would also take comfort in those bible promises in their time of sorrow.
In honour of Goldie's final wishes, the immediate family will gather at the cemetery of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lumsden for inurnment.
