Obituary

As quietly as he lived, he slipped peacefully away on January 08, 2021 at the Ottawa General Hospital. Family at his side, he travelled to eternal rest with all of our secrets leaving nothing but his love, wisdom & cherished memories behind.

R G Glenn Hann, age 81 of Templeman, NL., born Cape Freels, April 5, 1939, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. Predeceased by his parents Daniel & Ivy (Penney)Hann

Survived by his devoted & caring wife Nellie of 59 years, daughters, Dale, Darlene(Clayton Jr) and Danette; son Rodney. Grandchildren Mark(Medina), Jonathon, Danielle(Axel), & Joshua. Very precious great granddaughter, Isabella, who he adored.

Sisters, Olive Critch & Roma McIvor  Aunt, Ruby Head, Comfort Cove,NL, Brother in Law, Russell (Marina) Kean.

Dear Cousins, Bill Hann, who he shared many memories and laughter at the Cape, Marcie Traverse, and John Hann.

As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends in Newfoundland & Ontario. All of you were loved beyond measure.

Glenn, a teacher most of his career, beginning at a one room schoolhouse and ending at the College of the North Atlantic. Many young students respected his valuable lessons, and his colleagues were his great friends.

Upon his retirement Glenn lived to read, garden and be a guardian at the Cape. He was very proud of his roots, Fogo Island and Cape Freels South and an advocate for its wonderful people and natural beauty.

His journey began at the Cape and will end there.

At Glenn's request cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance and celebration of Glenn's life will be held at The United Cemetery, Cape Freels, NL on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 2p.m. officiated by Rev. Larry Noseworthy.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations in Glenn's memory may be made to the Cape Freels United Cemetery Fund, c/o Rev Larry Noseworthy, PO Box 84 Newtown, NL A0G 3L0 or The Ottawa Regional Cancer Center.
