It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at Bonnews Cottages, Badger's Quay on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 Gladys Vivian age 83 years.
Gladys was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife and friend to many. She was a dedicated soldier of The Salvation Army, League of Mercy member and Home League sister.
Predeceased by her parents Violet and Percy Best; sister Mae Fox; son Robbie Vivian.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband of 40 years Leonard; sons Nelson Winsor (Carol) of Cobourg, ON., Percy Winsor (Linda) of Badger's Quay and Claude Winsor (Jen) of Cobourg, ON.; daughters Christine Firmage (Dwight) of Wesleyville, Barbara Burry (Attwood) of Marathon, ON., Lillian Perry (Wallace) of Valleyfield, Eliza Jordon (Michael) of Wesleyville and Wendy Pittman (Bill) of Pound Cove; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 9 - 11 a.m. & 2:30 - 6:30 p.m. following COVID - 19 recommendations and guidelines.
Funeral service will be held at The Salvation Army Citadel, New-Wes-Valley on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 2 p.m. with Majors Bob and Cassie Kean officiating. Interment to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Wesleyville.
As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Gladys' memory may be made to the family. A decision on monetary disbursements will be made later.
