It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at Golden Years Estate, Gander on Friday, December 27, 2019 Gertrude Esther Steele age 86 years of Musgrave Harbour. Pre-deceased by her husband James, parents Thomas Lake and Mary and William Strickland, parents-in-law Nathan and Amelia Steele, 2 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are one son Lane(Norma) of Paradise, three daughters Sonia Parsons(Rex) of Musgrave Harbour, Anne Lawrence(Louie) of Bon Accord, AB, and Carolyn Steele(Chris) of Musgrave Harbour. 8 grandchildren Kirk(Barb), Jillian(Dale), Mitchell(Sara), Annette(Jason), Matthew(Sierra), Natalie(Ian), Stephanie(Derrick) and Laurie. 6 great-grandchildren Krista, Sydney, Kinsley, Caleb, Thoran and Daxton. 2 brothers, 5 sisters, 1 brother-in-law, 2 sisters-in-law. Also a large circle of extended family and friends.

Her absence will be felt by the residents and staff of Golden Years Estate, Gander where she has resided for the past 4 years.

Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home in Musgrave Harbour. Funeral service will take place on Monday, December 30th at 11am from The Salvation Army Citadel in Musgrave Harbour with Majors Tim and Laura Jenkins officiating.  Interment to follow from The Salvation Army Cemetery in Ragged Harbour. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory to The Salvation Army Cemetery Fund in Ragged Harbour.
