It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at his residence in Musgrave Harbour on Monday, February 16, 2026, George Sterling Steele, age 90 years.

Predeceased by his parents; Nathan and Amelia Steele, daughter; Lynn Steele, grandson; Nathaniel Steele, sister; Miriam McCallum and brother; James Steele.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 66 years, Mae, sons; Gregory (Melinda) of Wesleyville, Brent (Tina) of Musgrave Harbour, Stephen (Darlene) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Peter of Oshawa, Ontario and Jamie (Angela) of Grand Falls-Windsor, daughter; Margaret Steele of Paradise, sister; Doreen Guy (Norman) of Musgrave Harbour, grandchildren; Amanda, Kayla, Georgia, Jordan, Emily, Hannah, Shauna, Zachary, Megan and Jammelia, great grandchildren; Jacob, Amelia, Dawson, Rachael-lynn, Natalia, Annalie and Summer and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Musgrave Harbour on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 10 A.M. -  12 Noon for Family Only ,  2 P.M. - 4 P.M. Public &  7 P.M - 9 P.M. Public.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 19 at 2 P.M. at The Salvation Army Citadel, Musgrave Harbour with Major Hedley Bungay officiating. Interment will follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Ragged Harbour, NL.
