George Fillier Parsons

January 27, 1944 – February 27, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our loved one on Monday, February 27 ^th , 2023 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, George Fillier Parsons in his 80 ^th year, of Lumsden, NL.

Predeceased by his parents Albert and Effie (Fillier) Parsons, infant brothers Leonard and Philip, brother Maxwell Parsons, sisters and brothers in-law Alton Parsons, Patricia and Henry Morgan and Clifford Bishop, nephew Stephen Morgan.

Leaving to mourn with many happy memories in their 55 ^th year of marriage, Eleanor (Bishop) Parsons, son Desmond Parsons, grandsons Ty and Ryen Jagger-Parsons, brothers Newman Parsons (Joan) and Gary Parsons (Maxine), sisters in-law Frances Parsons and Glenis French, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends, colleagues and former students.

Visitation will be held at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Thursday, March 2 ^nd , 2023 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m.

Funeral service will take place at Wesley United Church, Lumsden on Friday, March 3 ^rd , 2023 at 11 a.m. (all are welcome) with Rev. Lorne Bungay and Rev. Roberta Vincent-Bungay officiating.

Interment will take place at St. Luke's Anglican Cemetery, Port de Grave, NL on Saturday, March 4 ^th , 2023 at 2 p.m. (all are welcome).

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations to a local Food Bank or a charity of one's choice may be made.
