It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at  Dr. Y.K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield, NL, George Hawkins age 91 years of Greenspond, NL.

Predeceased by his parents John and Claretta Hawkins, sisters; Annie (William), Ethel (Gordon), Lavinia (Charlie) and Hilda, brothers; Roland (Doris) and Hubert.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Ada, son; Harold (Cindy) of Glovertown, daughters; Freda (Norm) of Greenspond and Marion of St. John's, grandchildren; Sonya, Robert (Vivi), Lorne (Brey), Mark (Crystal), Andrew (Melissa), Kaitlyn (Josh), Ashley (Mark) and Rolie, great grandchildren; Chantel, Alyssa, Paige, Caleigh, Blase and Jake; daughter by choice, Minnie Wheeler; sister-in-law, Maxine Burton, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and a large circle of friends.

Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. & 7 P.M. - 9 P.M. (Public)

Funeral service will take place on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 2 P.M. at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove with Rev. Paul Vardy officiating. Interment will follow at the Interfaith Cemetery, Shambler's Cove, Greenspond, NL

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's memory to the Interfaith Cemetery, Shambler's Cove, Greenspond.
