It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield , George William Brown age 77 years of Centreville.

Predeceased by his parents Marshall and Nita Brown, his brothers; Hector and Jim Brown, brother-in-law; Ed Callahan, sister-in-law; Gertie Brown, nephews; Wilson and Terry.

Left to mourn are his sisters Mary (Job), Cheryl (Eddy) and Rene; his loving wife, Ethel, his five children, Warren (Maritza), Tina (Mike), Denise, Valerie (Todd) and John, his grandchildren, Soleil, Dylan, Tina-Valerie, Jake, Johnathan, Jenna, his Great grand children, Deyon, Riley, Marshall, Eli-Daniel; his nieces and nephews and many friends; along with loyal companion, his beloved dog Boomer.

George was the happiest when he was hunting and fishing. From the shores of James Bay, the lakes of Labrador, and the banks of Newfoundland, no fish was safe. In his retirement he loved spending his time on his beloved Fair Island, where you could often find him hard at work mowing his grass, He often said that "Resting for a day, was a day wasted ". He was generous with his time and would help all who asked. He will greatly be missed by all who knew him.

In keeping with George's wishes cremation has taken place.

Funeral service will take place at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Daphne Parsons officiating. Inurnment to take place at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in George's memory may be made to The Diabetes Association or St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville.

Funeral service will be in accordance to COVID-19 guidelines and recommendations.
