It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Monday, February 9, 2026 at  the Gander Long Term Care Home, Fredrick West age 85 years of Lumsden, NL.

Predeceased by his parents; Eli and Emily (Stokes) West, sister and brother-in-law; Reta and Charlie Stokes, brother; Manual West, sister-in-law; Joan West, niece; Marilyn and great-nephew; Gene.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are; brother, Morris West (Beatrice), special sister-in-law; Emma West, 11 nieces and nephews, five of whom he shared a home and a special bond; Joan, Glenda, Dale, Lawrence and Deanne.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.

A graveside service will take place at a later date for his family.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Alzheimer Society of NL or The NL Cancer Care Foundation.
