It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield, Esau Howell age 88 years of Badger's Quay.

Predeceased by parents; Nathan and Gertrude Howell, wife; Rowena, brothers; James, Wilson, Samuel (Effie) and Leonard,  sister; Lucy Hunt (Herbert), brothers-in-law; Douglas Jackman, Roy Sainsbury and grandson; Trevor Ashford.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons; Frank (Edith) of Pool's Island, Perry (Val) of Truro, N.S, daughters; Christine (Earl Spurrell) of Pool's Island, Joan Howell of Badger's Quay, Heather (John Collins) of Labrador City, sister; Shirley Jackman of St. John's, grandchildren; Jackie, Justin (Sharon),Sheldon (Cecilia), April, Samantha, Amanda (Danny), Lenora (Richard), Katie (Matthew), Brittney (Alex), great grandchildren; Keesha (Dylan), Ireland, Lane, Brooklyn, Lincoln, Gavin, Ainsley and Ryler and great-great grandson; Ezra, sisters-in-law; Millie Howell of Badger's Quay, Joan Howell of Gander, Beulah Howell of Jamestown, Eleanor Sainsbury  of Newtown and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends.

Keeping with Esau's wishes cremation will take place.

A grave side service with an Inurnment will take place at Memorial United Church Cemetery  during the summer of 2022.
