It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield, NL, Elizabeth Frances Parsons age 83 years of Indian Bay, NL.

Predeceased by her parents; Bessie Lorraine (Winters) and Avalon James Firmage, husband; Heldrey Lorne Parsons of 38 years, brothers; Clarence, George and David, son; Harry Lloyd and great grandson; Eric.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son; Lorne Parsons, daughters; Bessie Firmage (Kenneth), Barbara Parsons (Benjamin), Bonnie Parsons (David) and Cynthia Molyneaux (Shaun), brother; Adam Firmage (Eliza), sister; Florence Hounsell (Enos), sisters-in-law; Nellie Firmage and Evelyn Firmage, grandchildren; Lloyd (Tanya), Lori (Garett), Heidi, Andrew (Joanne), Danielle and Hilary, great grandchildren; Marcus, Riley, Savannah, Brady and Nicole, great great grandson; Harvey, daughter-in-law; Erline and also a large circle of family and friends.

Elizabeth (Lizzie or Nan) was known for her tough, independent but loving and giving nature, as well as her love of family and a good laugh. She enjoyed playing bingo and traveling with family to various fun places like Toronto, Vegas, New York and Detroit. There she was alight with excitement at many concerts and sights. Another joy of hers was to feed the birds.

Everybody that knew her, loved her and called her "Nan" or "Mother". She had "9 lives like a cat" and overcame anything life threw at her with pride and dignity and no complaints. She will be missed everyday.

The Parsons family would like to send a huge thank you to all the hospital staff, paramedics, home care workers and everybody that has helped in any way.

Visitation will be held at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 12 noon - 2 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. officiated by Rev. Maxine Abbott. Inurnment to follow at The Anglican Church Cemetery, Indian Bay.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, all monetary gifts are wished to be donated to a charity of one's choosing.
