It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on March 6, 2024 at Dr. Y.K.Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield, NL, Elizabeth Grace Best age 94 years of Badger's Quay, NL.
Predeceased by her husband; Gordon Best, parents; Benjamin and Pearl Spurrell, infant daughter; Pearl and brother; Job .
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are daughters; Donna (Jack Rainey), Major Trixie (Major William Kean),Janice (Glen Cowley) and Jocelyn (Robert Kean), grandchildren; Coreen, Beth, Vance, Virginia, Adam, Sarah, Jason, Alexander and Nicolas, great grandchildren; Tyler, Benjamin, Daniel, Drew, Caleb, Madeline, Sophia, Samuel, Finley, Jacob, Graham, Braxton, Matthew and Declan, a number of great great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Grace was a very selfless woman who always put others before herself. Her family was very important to her and she was quick to express her faith in the Lord. She dearly loved her extended family at Bonnews Lodge Apartment Complex where she resided until she was admitted to Dr. Y.K.Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre on October 12, 2023. She often expressed her thankfulness for the excellent care she received by the staff. They always made her feel important and did their upmost to keep her comfortable.
On the morning of March 6, 2024, her 94th birthday, her prayers where answered when she left this world for her eternal home in glory.
Visitation for Family Only on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 7 P.M. - 9 P.M.
Public Visitation to begin on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. and 7 P.M. - 9 P.M.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place.
Funeral service will take place on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 1 P.M. at Ebenezer United Church, Brookfield with Rev. George Kean officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Grace's memory to The Ray Of Hope Association Inc 126 Loop High Way, Pound Cove, NL A0G 3S0
