It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at Glenbrook Lodge, St. John's on Thursday, September 10, 2015 Eleanor Hunt age 88 years of Badger's Quay.
Eleanor May Hunt the oldest of 9 siblings born January 28, 1927 in Pound Cove to Josephine & George Howell. She married Arthur Hunt and moved to Badgers Quay. They had 8 children. After the passing of her husband she devoted her life to raising her children. In 1973 she moved to Toronto where she lived for 39 years. In 2011 she moved back to Newfoundland with her daughter Shirley and son-in-law Bill whom she lived with for 34 years. In July 2015 she moved into Glenbrook Salvation Army Lodge where she passed away peacefully on September 10, 2015. She is predeceased by her husband Arthur, son Derrick, daughter Maisie, parents Josephine and George Howell. Left to celebrate her life sons; George (Martha), Harry (Jane). Daughters; Shirley (Bill), Glenda (Tony), Marilyn (Roland), Diane (Charlie), son-in-law Heber and special family member Eileen. 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends.
Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove. Funeral service will take place on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 11 A.M. at Memorial United Church, Valleyfield with Rev. George Kean officiating. Interment will follow at the United Church cemetery, Valleyfield. As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Saturday 1 - 2pm (Family); 2 - 5pm & 7 - 9pm (Public)

Sunday 10 - 12noon, 2 - 4pm & 7 - 9pm

Family Service will take place on Sunday evening at 8 P.M.
