It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Thursday, January 17, 2019 Effie Juanita Whalen age 70 years of Carmanville. Predeceased by her parents Virginia & Baxter Bemister: brothers; Glynn, Gerald, Wallace & Lindy; brothers-in-law: Clyde Stokes & Nelson Coles and sister-in-law Frances Bemister.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband Ralph; sons: Neil (Viola) of Carmanville and Michael (Sherri) of Carmanville; daughter Roxanne (Eddie) Cuff of Carmanville, grandchildren: Kayla (Quenton), Brittany, Miranda (Peter), & Mitchell (Jenn); great grandchildren: Brady, Alexis, Arianna, Zoey, Aiden & Melissa, brothers: Baxter Jr. (Valerie) of Gander & Christopher of Ragged Harbour; sisters: Jacqueline (Gary) Rideout of Twillingate & Elizabeth (Wallace) Jenkins of Carmanville, also a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Resting at Stacey's Funeral Home, Carmanville. Funeral service will take place on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 2 p.m. from The Salvation Army Citadel, Carmanville with Captain's Laura and Tim Jenkins officiating. Interment to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Carmanville South.
As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the family.
