It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Tuesday, October 11, 2022  in her home at Valleyfield, Effie Mariah Spurrell age 83 years.

Predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Beatrice Whalen; husband Herbert; sister Minnie Whalen.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons Tony (Angela) of Valleyfield, Calvin of Valleyfield and Hubert (Valerie) of Valleyfield; daughter Jeanette (Leigh) of Paradise; grandchildren Christopher, Justin, Courtney, Travis, Devon, Jamie, Tyler, T.J. and Natasha; great-grandchildren Madison, Caden, Avery and Alexis; sister Loretta (Henry) of Cape Freels; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove with visitation on Thursday, October 13, 2022, 2 P.M. - 3 P.M. (Family only) 3 P.M. - 4 P.M. (Public) & 7 P.M. - 9 P.M. (Public), Friday, October 14, 2022, 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. & 7 P.M. - 8 P.M. (Public)

Funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11 A.M. at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Badger's Quay with Rev. Renee Easton officiating. Interment will follow at St. Alban's Anglican Cemetery, Badger's Quay.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in her memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation
