It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield, NL, Effie Joy Goodyear age 75 years of Lumsden.

Predeceased by her husband Gerald; parents Baxter and Beatrice Stokes; sisters Linda Mills and Phyllis (Baxter) Goodyear; sister in-law Evelyn Stokes; brothers in-law Jim Stagg and Lorin Mouland.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons Gerald of Lumsden and Donald (Joanne) of Lumsden; daughter Bertha (Michael) Mouland; sisters Edna Stagg of Cape Freels, Zeta (Aubrey) Parsons of Lumsden, Phoebe Mouland of Clarenville, Betty (Walter) Goodyear of Deadman's Bay, Hazel (Scott) Kean of St. John's and Elsie (Wade) Stagg of Brigus Junction; brothers Raymond (Norma) Stokes of CBS and Gerald (Wavey Gosse) of Gander; brother in-law Rick Mills of Deep Bight; grandchildren who were the light of her life, Emily Mouland, Kelsei Goodyear, Gillian Goodyear and Drew Mouland; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. & 7 P.M - 9 P.M. for Public

Friday, April 7, 2023 at 10 A.M. - 12 Noon  for Public.

Funeral service will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Lorne Bungay and Rev. Roberta Vincent - Bungay officiating. Interment to follow at The Goodyear's Private Cemetery, Windmill Bight, Lumsden, NL.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Effie's memory to The Goodyear's Private Cemetery Fund, Lumsden
