In Loving Memory of Edwin Parsons

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edwin Parsons, who passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, at the age of 81 years. Edwin was born and raised in Indian Bay, Newfoundland, where he spent his life surrounded by the place he called home and the people he loved most.

Edwin was predeceased by his beloved wife; Dorothy Parsons, his son; Scott Parsons, his parents; Dinah Parsons and Stanley Parsons, his brothers; Heldrey Parsons and sister-in-law; Elizabeth Parsons, his sister; Geraldine Vardy and brother-in-law; Wilfred Vardy and brother-in-law; Cromwell Oram.

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories, are his loving son; Ivan Parsons and daughter-in-law Lisa Parsons; his grandchildren; Wendy Parsons and Mark Oram, Briana Ennis and Dean Ennis, and Tara Parsons and Jeffery Glover. Edwin also leaves behind his treasured great-grandchildren; Arizona Burton, Ethan Ennis, Hayden Ennis, Scarlett Collins, Everleigh Collins, Jackson Glover and Jaelyn Glover, each of whom brought great joy to his life.

He is also lovingly remembered by his brothers Harry Parsons (Genevieve Parsons), Clarence Parsons (Rudy Parsons), as well as his sisters Nellie Oram and Marlyn Parsons, along with a large circle of extended family, friends, and community members who will deeply miss him.

Edwin was known as a hardworking, stubborn, and deeply religious man who lived life with strength, determination, and unwavering values. He was someone who believed in hard work, took pride in providing for his family, and carried a quiet strength that those around him respected.

He found peace and happiness in the outdoors and had a deep love for Newfoundland life and tradition. Some of his greatest joys came from cod fishing, salmon fishing, and hunting — activities that connected him to both nature and the simple pleasures he appreciated most.

Edwin leaves behind a legacy of resilience, dedication, faith, and love for family. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
