He dedicated 30 years of his life to Marine Atlantic, where he worked as a Chief Engineer. His strong work ethic, knowledge, and steady presence earned him the respect of colleagues and all who had the pleasure of working alongside him. Outside of his career, he found great joy in life's simple and meaningful moments. He loved boat building, working on engines, tending to his garden, and spending time out on the water—places where he felt most at peace. He also loved sharing stories of his upbringing and life experiences, often captivating those around him with his memories, wisdom, and sense of humor. He will be remembered as a generous, kind, and loving man to everyone he knew. Dad had many friends both near and far. One of his dearest friends was Norm Perry, his next door neighbour with whom he always shared a friendly visit and daily chat. His heart was always open, and his willingness to help others never went unnoticed. Above all, his love for his family was unconditional and unwavering—a legacy that will live on in all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
