It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Earl Oswald Matthew Tulk of Aspen Cove, age 67, on September 14th, 2026.

Predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Mary Tulk, father-in-law Kayward Dart, and nephew Frances Cave.

Left to mourn, wife of 39 years Valerie, mother-in-law Ethel Dart, sons Trevor, Travis, and Taylor (Stacey), daughter Emily, granddaughters Evelyn and Addison and their mother Melanie, one sister Gloria, close friend and cousin Cluney, and very close friends Chris and family and Wanda-lee and family, whom had a special bond with Earl. Also leaving to mourn nieces, nephews, and a large circle of family, friends, and past co-workers.

When informing others of Earl’s passing, a co-worker had sent a message which we feel doesn’t only describe who Earl was at work but also in his day-to-day life; “Earl made a lasting impression on many people across the site over the past four years. He was highly respected for his knowledge and many years of experience and was always willing to share that knowledge and provide advice. In particular, many of the new drillers looked up to Earl and valued the guidance he provided. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the opportunity to work with him and get to know him.”

Not only a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather, Earl was also an active member of the volunteer fire department. Between working away he always made time for the people and things that mattered most, often side-by-side with his wife. From house renovations, tinkering in the shed, and spending time cutting wood, Earl always found something to keep busy but never hesitated to drop it all to help friends and family. While only recently hanging up his hard hat, Earl and Valerie had started in on the list of activities they were looking forward to enjoying together with morning conversations of “what is the plan today?”. Though the period of retirement was short, it can be assured that Earl fulfilled every moment of it. With the many connections Earl has made over the years, his kind, patient and understanding personality will forever leave a lasting impression as he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the opportunity to meet him.
