DONNA MABLE NOSEWORTHY
September 22, 1940 - April 25, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one, Donna Noseworthy
age 85 of Musgrave Harbour, at the Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre (Brookfield, NL) on
April 25, 2026.
Predeceased by her parents, Dolph and Marie Abbott, sister Diane and brother Chris.
Leaving to mourn, her spouse of 64 years; Earl, daughter Sandy (Brian), of Musgrave Harbour,
sons David (Glenda) of Musgrave Harbour and Tim (Tina) of Gander, sister Bernice of
Musgrave Harbour, grandchildren Nikki, Calli, Seth, Lisa, step-grandson Jonathan Steele, great grandchild Cameron, as well as
her many nieces and nephews.
Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was her
pride and joy, especially all her grandchildren. She loved hearing about and celebrating their
adventures and accomplishments, and sharing stories with them. Her dry sense of humor often
created laughter over their antics or unexpected encounters. Family gatherings were very
important and always a highlight for her. Over the years, many hours were spent with her
friends and family out trouting with her bamboo, berry picking, playing cards, spending time at
the cabin, and enjoying nature. She dearly loved puttering in her garden and enjoyed watching
the birds that came to explore it. Many buckets of dirt were gathered in Shalloway and
transported to her garden to make it grow and flourish. She also had a gift for sewing and was a
talented knitter.
She was a dedicated librarian in the community library for many years, and was an avid reader.
She was always eager to help support local school teams, organizations or anyone in need.
We are grateful for the many great years we shared together, but she will be dearly missed!
The family would like to thank members of her care team; Mr. Greg Banfield, Mrs. Vivian
Whiteway, and the staff at Brookfield hospital for their kindness and compassion. Also, a thank
you to the Kittiwake Funeral Home staff for their support and empathy.
Cremation is to take place and a private family burial will occur at a later date.
