Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Delilah Mae (Tiller) Vincent of Newtown, on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Health Centre, Brookfield.

Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Myrtis (Barbour) Tiller, parents-in-law Elihu and Beatrice (Cuff) Vincent, husband Victor W. G. Vincent, daughter Glenys (Vincent) Penney (Wayne), daughter-in-law Betty (Tizzard) Vincent, brothers Edward Tiller, Norman Tiller, sisters Rita Gulliford (Eric), Olive Norris (Charlie), Louise Hillier (Carl), brothers-in-law Thomas Vincent (Bonnie), Allan Vincent (Betty), David Maclean and Mike Gallagher, sisters-in-law Alice Cook (Lloyd), Lenora Tiller and Annie Tiller.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories: Calvin Vincent (Marilyn), Sylvia Howlett (Perry), Beatrice Menchenton (Roland), Annie Byrne (Frank), Elihu (Hughie) Vincent (Margaret), Evelyn Sainsbury (David), 20 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, brothers: Charles Tiller, Joseph Tiller (Beulah), sisters Sophie Maclean, Betty Gallagher, sisters-in-law Maggie Tiller , Monica Tiller, special nephew Derek Cook as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Gordon and Elsie carter and staff of Otterbury Manor, Dr. Keryakes and Nursing Staff of Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield for their care and compassion shown to our Mother.

Visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Friday, December 5, 2025 8 - 9 p.m. (public); Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 8 p.m. (public). A time of sharing and reminiscing for family will take place at 8 p.m.

Funeral service will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Lorne Bungay and Rev. Roberta Vincent - Bungay officiating. Interment to follow at the United Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers donations in Mae's memory may be made to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Newtown, NL. Attention: Mr. Kevin White P.O. Box 76  Newtown, NL  A0G 3L0
