Gibbons
May 29, 1938 – July 24, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of David Leslie Gibbons age 81 years of Trinity, Bonavista Bay, shares the news of his passing, with his family by his side at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on July 24, 2019. He was a much loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, Uncle, cousin and a dear friend to many.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary of 53 years, daughters Elaine (Hubert) and Cindy (Paul). He will be forever remembered by his cherished granddaughters Jenna and Lily, whom he loved dearly.
David will be missed greatly by his brother and sisters; Jake (Flo), Minnie, Mary Ann, and Sadie. Brothers-in-law Lorne (Ann), Bob (Barb), Art (Lucy), Abbie (Sandra) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is pre-deceased by his parents Nelson and Cinderella Gibbons, Brothers Stan (Maude), Sam (Louise), Gilbert (Yvonne), Sisters Nina (Ammon), Brothers-in-law Claude Davis, Charlie Roberts, Joe Hesko and In-laws Jacob and Adelaide Norris.
Dave will be remembered for his silly humour, his quirky comments and his caring personality. He was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 27 at 2 P.M. at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity with Rev. Daphne Parsons officiating. Interment will follow at St. Alban's Anglican Church Cemetery, Trinity.
As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in David's memory to The Gibbons Family who will decide on monetary disbursements at a later date.
The family would like to thank all those who helped at this difficult time. All love and support is truly appreciated.

Friday, 10 - 12 P.M. ( Family Only) , 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. Public & 7 P.M. - 9 P.M. ( Family Only)
Family service will take place Friday evening.
