Daphne
Cutler
September 27, 1941 – November 18, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield on Saturday, November 18, 2023, Daphne Cutler age 82 years of Trinity.
Predeceased by her parents; Augustus and Sadie Brown and Edgar and Minnie Boland, husband; George and brother; Sam.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons; Andy (Penny) of Goulds and Michael (Pamela) of Trinity, daughters; Sharon Pickett (Guy) of Wabush and Sheila Collins (Paul) of Goulds, grandchildren; Andrew (Charlotte), Peyton (Stephen), Michael (Samantha), Richard, Amanda, Ashley, Bradley (Sarah) and Daniel and great grandchildren; Brooke and Adalyn, sisters; Jeanne Dillon (Des), Maude White (Clay) and Celie Way (Boyd), sister-in-law; Margaret Brown, aunt; Abbie Whey and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Daphne, the oldest child of Augustus and Sadie Brown, was born in Trinity on September 27, 1941. She lived with them along with her Uncle Edgar, his wife Minnie and her grandfather Boland. Her parents moved to their own house just up the road when Daphne was four years old. Daphne was not having any part of leaving Aunt Minnie, Uncle Edgar and grandfather and decided she was living with them in her own house. Thinking she would eventually move up with them, her parents let her stay. Hence, she never left Aunt Minnie and Uncle Edgar and became blessed instead with an extra set of parents.
Daphne had a heart of gold and a contagious smile that lit up the room. She was devoted to her church and a true friend. Never one to complain, but always the one to offer a lending hand. She loved to bake and kept a well stocked supply on hand because you always had to have something sweet to go with that cup of tea or coffee. Above all, Daphne was a loving wife, mom, and grandmother. Her family and friends were her life and she enjoyed every moment she spent with them. Her love has been instilled in all of us and will be kept alive in our hearts.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre for the care and comfort they provided to Daphne during her final months.
