It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 Danny Wayne Oakley age 43 years.

Predeceased by his mother Shirley Sturge; grandparents John Sturge, Letsie Sturge and Lewis Oakley; uncles Gordon Sturge and John Oakley.

Leaving to mourn are his father Roger Oakley (Valerie) of Musgrave Harbour; grandmother Beulah Oakley of Wesleyville; girlfriend of 22 years Shereye Cook; daughter Marissa Reid (Will) of Greens Harbour; brother Lee Oakley (Ester) of Clarenville; sister Mandy Oakley (Shane) of Newtown; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

A special thank you to his lifelong friend and family member James Cox for being at his bedside during his final hours. You will never know what it meant to Lee, Mandy and the rest of the family.

Visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 4 – 6 p.m. (family) & 7 – 9 p.m. (family and friends).

At families request cremation will take place following visitation. Inurnment at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy donations in Wayne's memory may be made to the family.
