Gerald Clyde Pickett

September 1, 1942 – April 21, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one Clyde Pickett at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Monday, April 21, 2025 at the age of 82 years.

He was known to many as Clyde. He leaves behind many fond memories. He was well known for his kindness and his desire to help others. He was born on Fair Island on September 1, 1942. In his midlife he moved to Fort McMurray where he raised his family. In his retirement years he returned to Centreville.

Clyde is predeceased by his parents Ammon Wicks and Nina Pearl Pickett; infant brother Samuel Bryce; brother in-law Vaught Edwards.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children, Dion (Madonna), Elizabeth (Guy), Juanita (Shawn), James (Tammy) and Katherine; grandchildren Samantha, Michael, Caroline, Dustin, Robert, Danielle, Tyler, Elizabeth, Jayda, Ethan, Kira and Liam; and several great-grandchildren; sister Lorraine Maude Edwards; brothers William (Norma), Aubrey and Kirk (Lorraine), along with a large circle of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m.

Funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Maxine Abbott officiating.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Clyde's memory may be made to the family. A decision on monetary disbursements will be made at a later date.
