It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at Brookfield Hospital, on Sunday, March 29, 2015 Clifton Howell age 93 years of Pound Cove.

Predeceased by his parents Mary Ellen and Isaac Howell; first wife Martha Howell(nee Blackwood); grandchildren Tanya Howell, Terry Howell Jr. and Chris Cook; son-in-law Carl Blackmore; brother Alfred Howell (Myrtle - deceased); sisters Letsie Sturge (Jack - deceased) and Maisie Fry(Bill - deceased). Left with fond and cherished memories are his wife of 65 years Marcella (Marcie); daughters Shirley (Ray Cook) of St. John's, Valeda (Jim Welsh) of Glovertown; Nellie (Ed Tremblett) of Pound Cove and Cindy (Clyde Bungay) of Newtown; sons Leonard (Kate) of Newtown, Terry (Roma) of Templeman, Rick (Anne) of Templeman and Tony (Brenda) of Pound Cove; sisters Minnie Blackwood of St. John's (Edward - deceased) and Greta Stagg of Little Catalina (William - deceased); 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends.

Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove. Funeral service to take place at Trinity United Church, Newtown on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at The United Church Cemetery, Pound Cove.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Clifton's memory may be made to The United Church Cemetery Fund, Pound Cove.

Monday 10 - 12 noon, 2 - 4 pm & 7 - 9 pm

Tuesday 10 - 12 noon, 2 - 4 pm & 7 - 9 pm

Wednesday 10 - 12 noon

Family Service will be held on Tuesday at 8 :30 P.M.
