It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, October 30, 2026 at the Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield, Claude Martin Stagg age 81 years of Cape Freels.

Predeceased by his parents; Guy and Violet Stagg, father and mother-in-law; Robert and Tamar Cutler, brother; Ernest Stagg, brothers-in-law; William Cutler and Clayton Cutler and sister-in-law; Mary Rogers.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Susan Stagg, son; Christopher Stagg of St. John's, sisters; Audrey Cutler (Clifford) of Wareham and Hazel Welcher (Robert) of Valleyfield, sisters-in-law; Louise Cutler of Wareham and Maxine Stagg of Cape Freels and a large circle of nephews, nieces and other relatives.

Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 2pm at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove with Rev. Lorne Bungay officiating. Inurnment will follow from the United Church cemetery, Cape Freels.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Stagg Family who will decide on monetary disbursements at a later date.
