It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one, after a lengthy illness, on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay, Christine Goodyear age 81 years of Lumsden.

Predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Lloyd Goodyear, brothers-in-law Frederick and Lorenzo and her niece Valerie.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband of 59 years, Curtis, son Bradley (Cheryl), beloved grandchildren Ethan and Chynna, sisters Gloria and Wally (Leslie) and sisters-in-law Betty and Patricia (Larry). Also mourning Aunt Chris are her cherished nieces and nephews Loma (Gary), Brent (Mottie), Neal, Craig (Zoe), Robyn (John), Darryl, Tracy (Dwayne), Trevor (Jessica) and Trent (Heather), as well as great nephews, great nieces and a truly enormous group of friends.

Christine was born in Newfoundland and lived for a little while in Toronto as a young woman before returning to marry her sweetheart and faithful partner in life, Curtis.

A devout Jehovah's Witness, Christine was well known for her infectious smile, her generosity and genuine care for others and above all her love of God. Among the promises she held dear was one recorded at Revelation 21 where God promises that soon "death will be no more." Her faith helped her and her loved ones to remain courageous and positive.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre and Bonnews Lodge for the extraordinary care and kindness provided to Christine during her final months.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place.

Funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 1:30pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Lumsden with Mr. Terry Drover officiating.
