It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Valleyfield, NL, Chesley "Ross" Stokes age 67 years formerly of Cape Freels.

Predeceased by his parents; Martin and Edith Stokes (nee Goodyear), brother; David Stokes and sister-in-law; Bridget Stokes.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughters; Trina Foster (Rocky) of Wareham and Courtney Glynn (Morgan) of Jackson's Arm, sons; Sandy Stokes (Jacklyn Green) of Corner Brook and Ellis Stokes of Lethbridge, Alberta, brothers; Garland Stokes (Beverly) of St. John's, George Stokes (Beverley) of Brookfield and Baxter Stokes of Valleyfield, sister; Daphne Hounsell (Winston) of Pound Cove, grandchildren; Brooklyn Foster, Jake Glynn, Jamey Glynn, Tanner Stokes and Isabelle Stokes, special friend and cousin; Earl Welcher, nieces and nephews; Cavell (Wade), Bradley (Amanda), Jessica (Mark), Jalen (Caroline), Jade (Dawson), Mitchell (Tiffany), Micaela (Jamie), David (Jeremy), Michael (Joseph) and Erica (Greg), great nieces and nephews; Kendra, Benjamin, Brody, Rian, Charis, Rosalie, Ivy Jade, Martin, Maverick, Emily and James and a large circle of other family and friends.

Visitation on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. (Family Only) and 7 P.M. - 9 P.M. (Public)

Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. and & 7  P.M. - 9 P.M.

Monday, June 5, 2023 , 7 P.M - 9 P.M.

Funeral service will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 11 A.M. with Rev. L. Daka officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date from the United Church cemetery, Valleyfield.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may by made in Ross's memory to The Stokes Family.

In keeping with Ross's wishes, cremation will take place.
