It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loved one at her residence on Sunday, December 31, 2023, Catherine Hilda Gibbons age 69 years of Lumsden.

Predeceased by her parents Chesley and Ruby Gray; first husband Donald Winter; brothers Bruce Gray and Dave Gray (Maisie); sister Lorna Stockley.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband Peter; son Andy (Karen) of Fox Lake, AB.; Peter's children Craig (Leigh) and Coretta (Terry); grandchildren Katherine, Andrew, Luke, Justin, Matthew, Mackenzie and Madison; great-grandchildren Kacie, Julian and Andi; sisters Hazel Goodyear and Joan Howell; brother Ford Gray (Bernice); and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

At families request cremation has taken place.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove from 2 – 4 p.m. (Public) & 7 – 9 p.m. (Family).

Funeral service will be held at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Lorne Bungay and Rev. Roberta Vincent-Bungay officiating.

Inurnment will follow at The Wesley United Church Cemetery, Lumsden.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in Catherine's memory may be made to The Wesley United Church Cemetery Fund, Lumsden.
