It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Monday, March 16, 2026 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, NL, Betty Abbott age 85 years of Musgrave Harbour, NL.
Predeceased by parents; William and Ivy Guy, husband; James, daughter; Wanda, grandson; Draper, sister; Audrey and son-in- law; Neil.
Leaving to mourn with loving memories are , sons; Owen (Suzette) of Ragged Harbour, Jamie (Leanne) of Carmanville, daughters; Janice (Glen Chaulk) of Deadman's Bay, Judy (Fonce Fahey) of Ragged Harbour, Roxanne (Bernard Walsh) of Conception Harbour, Geraldine (Dennis Stokes), Gloria (Shawn Boorse) of Columbas, Ohio, sisters; Hazel Snow of Noggin Cove and Pauline Pinsent of Ragged Harbour, grandchildren; Dawn, Crystal, Kimberly, Ryan, Michael, Scott, Stephen, Felicia, Brandon and Colby, great-grandchildren; Mackenzie, Jermaine, Marayla, Jacob, Keira, Kaiden, Charleigh, Morgan, Sophie, Jack, Logan, Kate, Ryland and Jayden, great-great-grandchildren; Lily, Scarlett, Wyatt, Leah, Sterling and also a large circle of other relatives and many friends.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth touched everyone she met. Known for her kind and selfless heart, she brought laughter and comfort to those around her. She was funny, strong, and fiercely independent—a woman who faced life with quiet strength, gentle courage, and an unwavering devotion to her family.
Her greatest joy was time spent with the people she loved. Whether gathered around the table or enjoying simple evenings together, she cherished every moment. She especially loved her nights playing Skip-Bo and Trouble with family, where laughter was always plentiful and memories were made.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her spirit will live on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
Visitations will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Musgrave Harbour on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 7 P.M. - 9 P.M for Family Only.
Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. & 7 P.M. - 9 P.M.(Public)
Funeral service will take place on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 2 P.M. at the Pentecostal Church, Musgrave Harbour with Pastor Troy Russell officiating. Interment will follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Musgrave Harbour,NL.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in her memory to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
