It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Bessie Blackwood age 77 years of Greenspond.

Predeceased by Husband; Darius, Parents; Noah and Carrie Burry and Edward "Cartie" and Bessie Carter, Brother; Walter Burry, and Great Granddaughters; Java and Sage Phillips.

Leaving to mourn are sons; Don (Peggy) of Greenspond, Arthur (Donna) of Cape Freels, Scott (Lisa) of Greenspond, Kevin (Shanna) of Greenspond. Daughters; Elizabeth (Rick) of Miscouche PEI, Linda (Frank) of Greenspond, Katherine (Wilfred) of Trinity. Brothers; Henry (Mae deceased) of Bonavista, Pearce (Phyllis deceased) of Bonavista, George (Christine) of Ontario. Sisters; Lorraine (Harry deceased) of Bonavista, Edwina (Donald deceased) of Centerville, Shirley Anne (Reg) of Bonavista.

Grandchildren; Pamela (Wilson), Robin (Satria), Megan (Zachary), Colton (Jillian), Nick (Jessica), Jennifer (Sean), Kelsey (Troy), Kirk (Brittany), Anthony (Tonya), Daniel (Jasmine), Anna (Mitchell), Louise, RJ (Melanie), Heather (Mikey), Karen (Richard), Laura, Hunter (Amber), Lacey, David (Morgan), Phillip, and Alexis.

Great Grandchildren; Alice, Levi, Benjamin, Daria, Tenley, Cecilia, Ryder, Delia, Michael, Amy, Chase, Boyd, Macey, Roland, Kyleigh, and a circle of many other relatives and friends.

Visitation to take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove beginning on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 1 - 2 p.m. (Family), 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 8 p.m. (Public), 8 - 9 p.m. (Family)

Funeral service will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Blackwood officiating. Interment to follow at The Interfaith Cemetery, Shambler's Cove, Greenspond.

As an expression of sympathy and in her memory, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Interfaith Cemetery Fund, Shambler's Cove.
