Barbara Alicia Mabel Carter born on November 24, 1937 to Ezra and Elsie Vincent of Cape Island. On November 15, 1962 she married Donald Carter from Badger's Quay, they had one child Roxane. Barbara had many careers but spent the majority of her working life as the post- mistress at Badger's Quay post-office. In her 25 years of service with Canada Post, she made many friends and was always up for a laugh, leaving an ever-lasting impression on many. Barbara spent her retirement exploring every crook n' cranny of Newfoundland and Labrador with her husband in their camper. Barbara had a love for reading and was often found with a book in her hand. She spent many afternoons with friends creating beautiful quilts and memories. A unique collector, those who've visited her home are familiar with her eccentric collection of salt n' pepper shakers. But above all, Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family. She was especially proud of her two granddaughters – Stephanie and Heidi. Barbara was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, Nan and friend. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

Funeral service to take place at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Badger's Quay on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Tim Graham officiating. Interment to follow at The Anglican Cemetery, Badger's Quay.
