Passed away suddenly on May 20, 2011 at Brookfield Hospital, Audrey Manning age 71 years of Lumsden. Predeceased by her parents; Wilfred and Nellie (nee Pardy) Hatcher and brother; Fred Hatcher.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband; Dr. Barton Manning, 2 sons; Barton Jr. (Margaret) of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Timothy of Lumsden, step-daughter; Lorely Brimson (Michael) of Walmer, England , sister; Ivy Parsons (Joseph) of Lumsden and a circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service to take place at Wesley United Church, Lumsden on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Reverends Lorne and Roberta Bungay officiating. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Lumsden. Donations in her memory may be made to The Cape Freels Heritage Trust Inc (The Barbour Living Heritage Village) P. O. Audrey was a regular contributor to the Gander Beacon. Her weekly column; The Future is in our Past was enjoyed by many for a decade. "Our readers will miss her greatly"
