Aubrey
Bemister
October 28, 1963 – July 14, 2024
It is with broken hearts and great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father, Aubrey Bemister. He fought a courageous battle with cancer, but unfortunately on July 14, 2024 passed at the age of 60, surrounded by the love of his family at the Health Sciences Centre.
Predeceased by his parents, Simeon and Pearl Bemister; brothers: Elmore and Clarence; sisters: Marie and Florence; sisters-in-law: Irene and Hazel.
Left to mourn and cherish his memory are his children: Gregory (Joscelyne), Roger (Victoria), and Crystal (Travis); his precious grandchildren: Abigail, Kylie, Logan, Nathan and Katelynn and bonus grandchildren – Emma and Harrison; his loving partner of 5 years, Gracie Marshall; brothers: Ronald (Emily), Eldon (Iona), Wilbert (Jill), Terry (Carol); sisters: Maisie (Elwood), Beulah (Mark), Maunda (Dave), Goldie (Andy); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Aubrey grew up in Musgrave Harbour, where he started his family and built his family home. He was a man who could put his hand to anything – a real "Jack of all trades". From delivering the mail to plastering/painting, carpentry and everything in between. But he really found his niche in his later days – working with homecare and taking care of others. He had a love for the outdoors, a passion for music, but most of all he loved his family – especially his grandchildren whom he adored. Family was everything to him, and he was everything to them. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Special thanks to nurse Shawna who showed such compassion to him during his final days and Caul's Funeral Home (Erin) for the amazing support during our difficult time.
Cremation has taken place.
