It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Andy King, of Pool's Island, on July 23, 2024, at the age of 62.

Andy was predeceased by his father, Bill King, and his beloved aunt, Carrie Goodyear.

He leaves behind his devoted mother, Susie King; his daughter, Brittany Smart (Ian); and his son, Billy King (Ashley). Andy also leaves three cherished grandchildren, Levi, Wesley, and Blake, along with a large extended family of siblings, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Andy found joy in many pursuits, especially fishing at Sou Wes Pond, where he embraced the serenity and thrill of the sport. A skilled carpenter, his craftsmanship can be seen throughout the communities along the shore. His extensive music collection was a treasured part of his life, and he delighted in sharing it with those around him.

Despite facing significant challenges in recent years, Andy never missed a day without reaching out to his family and grandchildren. He took great pride in his loved ones and made sure everyone knew just how much they meant to him.

Public visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home , Pound Cove
Sunday, July 28, 2024, 7pm - 9pm

A Private Family Service will take place on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 11am

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the King family, who will decide on monetary disbursements at a later date.

Andy will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through the love and admiration of those who knew him.
