It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay on Saturday, September 12, 2026 Ammon Norris age 87 years of Newtown, NL.
Predeceased by his parents John and Dinah Norris; parents-in-law Albert and Florence Kelly; son-in-law Norman Stagg; sister Lenora Tiller; brothers-in-law Lindburgh Rideout; Earland Kelly, Harold Kelly and Calvin Kelly; sister-in-law Stella Mckay (Mike).
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Madeline Norris (nee Kelly); son Monty Norris (Tracey) of Badger's Quay; daughters Kathy Stagg of Lumsden, Mavis Winter (Jody) of Valleyfield and Tracy Goodyear (Mike) of Lumsden; grandchildren Jennifer (Glenn), Kyle (Kate), Melissa (Stephen), Skylair (Shannon), Sheldon, Kristopher (Victoria), Katelyn (Cody) and Jacob (Lily); great-grandchildren Chloe M., Levi, Riley, Charlotte, Rowan, Chloe, Felix, Henry, Toni, Ari, Kane, Hazel and Lincoln; special niece Darlene Hoyles (Grant) of Pound Cove; brothers Eli Norris (Donna) of St. John's and Randolph Norris (Mavis) of Lumsden; sisters Carrie Spurrell (Edward) of Harbour Grace and Elizabeth Rideout of Newtown; sister-in-law Wavey Sheppard of Sheppardville; brothers-in-law Charles Tiller of Stephenville, Lester Kelly of Bishop's Falls, Victor Kelly (Ruby) of Springdale, Larry Kelly (Darlene) of Sheppardville, Terry Kelly (Louise) of South Brook and Barry Kelly of King's Point; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
At Ammon's request cremation will take place.
Funeral service will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lorne Bungay and Rev. Roberta Vincent-Bungay officiating.
Inurnment at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Ammon's memory may be made to The Norris Family. A decision on monetary disbursements will be made later.
