It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Amelia Jean Blackmore, age 85 years, on March 19, 2025 at the Dr. Y. K. Jeon Health Centre, Brookfield, NL.

Predeceased by her husband, Winston Blackmore; baby boy Blackmore who died at birth; her parents Joseph and Maisie Green; baby brother John; sister Pearl W. Kean; brother in-law Wilfred Kean; nephew Howard Kean; brother Ammon Green and his wife Adelphia; nephew Dean Green; sister Jane Fifield; great-nephew Brandon Green; brother in-law Cyril Carter; parents in-law James and May Blackmore.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons Dennis (Darlene), Gordon (Brenda) and Colin (Donna); brother Kevin (Evelyn); sister Isabel Carter; grandchildren Bradley (Ashley), Jennifer (Tim), Rhianna, Marlowe (Bram), Miranda (Garrett), Samantha, Stephen (Chelsea); great grandchildren Haleigh, Brayden, Nolan, Grayson, Keegan, Nixon, Avander, Hunter and Rachel; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

At the family request, cremation will take place.

Public visitation will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Friday, March 21, 2025  at 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. & 7 P.M. - 9 P.M.

Funeral service to take place at St. Luke's Anglican Church, Newtown on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Renee Easton officiating. Inurnment to follow at St. Luke's Cemetery, Newtown.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are greatly accepted or donations in Amelia's memory may be made to St. Luke's Anglican Church, Newtown, NL.
