It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Monday, October 14 at Bonnews Lodge, Badger's Quay; Alice Madora Rideout age 84 years formerly of Newtown.
Predeceased by her parents Bishop and Dorcas Humphries; sisters Meana(Walter Goodyear), Bessie(Norman Stagg) and Rosie Humphries; brothers Ernie Humphries, Norman Humphries, Headley Humphries (Maggie), Percy Humphries (Maggie), Charlie Humphries, Norman Humphries and Maxwell Humphries (Lucy). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband James Rideout; sons Clifford (Carol Ann) of Greenspond, Tony (Lily) of Newtown, Harvey (Diane) of Newtown, Walter of Newtown, Ricky of Newtown, Rodney (Trudi) of Greenspond, Roger of Newtown; daughters Hettie (Robert Granter) of Greenspond, Greta (Norman Perry) of Newtown; sisters-in-law Martha Humphries of Newtown and Rhyma Humphries of St. John's; grandchildren Tracy, Tina, Susan, Tammy, Cara, Courtney, Jason, Corey, Bradley, Tristan, Shane, Travis, Tommy and Terri; great-grandchildren Emily, Jake, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Drew, Obie, Griffin, Liam, Gavin, Jackson, Brendon, Clark, Adison, Jake and Eli; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on Thursday, October 17 at 2 P.M. at Trinity United Church, Newtown with Rev. Lorne Bungay officiating. Interment followed at Trinity United Church Cemetery, Newtown.
