It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield, Alice Mildred Jane Hoyles age 91 years of Pool's Island.

Alice was a very active member in her community and especially with St. James Anglican Church. She was an A.C.W. member for over 75 years.

Predeceased by her parents Angelina and James Rodgers; husband Edward Hoyles; sisters Marie Stacey, Fanny Janes(Eric) and Vera Blackwood(Fred); brothers Edward Rodgers(Mary) and Hubert Rodgers(Florence).

Left with fond and loving memories are her son Earl(Minnie) of Mt. Pearl; daughter Trudy Hoyles(Colin) of Pool's Island; grandchildren Sean, Mark(Christina), Glenn(Rachel), Lori(Robert) and Jamie; great-grandchildren Clarke, Sarah Grace, Jett, Helena and Tristan; brother-in-law David Stacey of Courtney, B.C.; special next door neighbours Lee and Jannie Wiley; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 2 pm at St. James Anglican Church, Pool's Island with Rev. David Cook officiating. Interment will follow at St. James Anglican Church cemetery, Pool's Island. As an expression of sympathy and in her memory, flowers are gratefully accepted.

In keeping with Alice's wishes, there will be public visitation but no public viewing. Viewing will be for the immediate family and family friends only.
