Alfreda Victoria (Button) Rogers

March 3, 1950 - May 5, 2026

Alfreda Victoria (Button) Rogers age 76 years passed peacefully away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Dr. Y.K.Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield.

She was born on Silver Fox Island on March 3, 1950 to Thomas and Maggie Button. On September 12, 1966 she married her beloved husband Earl Rogers with whom she shared a lifetime of love and family.

She was predeceased by her parents; Thomas and Maggie Button, her sister; Susanna Wicks (Robert) and her brothers; Edwin Button (Marion), Cyril Button (Maggie) and Lewis Button (Laura). She was also predeceased by  nephews; Ross Button, Eric Button, George Button, David Button and John Button and her niece; Christine Brenton. In addition, she was predeceased by her brothers-in-law; Ernest Rogers and Charlie Bourne.

Leaving to mourn her passing are her loving husband; Earl Rogers, daughters; Dana (Gary) Keats and Corinne (Ewan) Ennis, her cherished grandchildren; Wayne Ennis, Gregory Ennis and Logan Keats (Faith) and her great-grandson; Hudson Keats.

She is also remembered by her brothers and sisters-in-law; Clyde Rogers (Doreen), Malcolm Rogers (Sarah),Austin Rogers, Kevin Rogers (Sueann),Marie Wiseman ( Chesley), Selina Bourne, Glenys Brown (Junior) Madeline Brown (Martin), Madonna Stewart (Iain) and Tryphena Rogers along with a large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family and close friends.

Alfreda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was deeply involved in her church and was an active member of the ACW, she was always ready to lend a helping hand. She was well known in her community for her kindness and generosity . She worked for many years with Rogers Enterprise.

Her life was marked by love, service and dedication to her family and  community.

She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. 

Visitation will take place at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity on Thursday, May 7, 2026  at 3 P.M. - 4 P.M. for Family Only & Public visitation at 7 P.M. - 9 P.m. , Friday, May 8, 2026,  2 P.M. - 4  P.M. &  7 P.M. - 9 P.M.

Funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at  2 P.M at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity with Rev. Maxine Abbott officiating . Interment will follow at St. Alban's Anglican Church Cemetery, Trinity.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in her memory to The Rogers Family, they will decide at a later date on monetary disbursements.
