It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Albert Best of Wesleyville (formerly of Wabush) on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Dr. Y.K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, Brookfield, after a short battle with cancer.

Leaving to mourn with loving memories, his wife of 55 years Marguerite, daughters Donna (Raymond Noble), Karen (Damian Power) and Jennifer (Marv Butler). Cherished grandchildren Rachel, Ryker, Danielle, Matthew, Grant and Evan. Brothers and sisters Fred (Louise), Gladstone, Robert (Daphne), Marcella (William Hopkins), Joyce, and Irene (Walter Jacobs). Special cousin Irene Andrews and a large number of family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Lavinia, brothers and sisters William (Neta), Clyde (Lily), Alex (Ella), Millicent (Robert), Alicia (Baxter), and Neta. In-laws, Raymond and Josephine Parsons and sisters-in-law Audrey Best and Donna Hoyles.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers , donations may by made in his memory to The Daffodil Place, Cancer Research, Autism Society or to the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Due to COVID restrictions and recommendations funeral service will be by invitation only.

Funeral service will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. officiated by Rev. L. Daka and Rev. B. Parsons.
