Adeline Frances
Barrow
October 4, 1934 – November 15, 2022
It is with our deepest of sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister and Aunt Frances Barrow on November 15, 2022, at the age of 88 years.
Frances was born October 4, 1934, on Fair Island, Bonavista Bay to Walter and Frances Cutler. At 2 days old, her mother died from complications of childbirth and she was placed in the loving arms of Thomas and Geraldine Horlick. They adopted her, when she was two years old, for the bargain price of one dollar. As a result, she was loved and adored by two families
In her youth, she met the love of her life, Bernard Barrow, whom she continued to love long after his premature death. She enjoyed sitting with a glass of wine, playing bingo, completing puzzles, singing and dancing. She was a very spiritual person who loved reading her bible, and playing the organ in church.
Frances was loved by all who knew her. She was a kind, loving, and generous woman. Who would never end a phone call without saying "I love you with all my heart and soul". She prided herself in her appearance and was already ready to have her snap taken. She always insisted on having her nails manicured and her hair styled immaculately. She could not leave the house without her earrings and lipstick.
Frances is predeceased by her husband Bernard; son Daryl; son-in-law Rodney; Brothers Seward, Ash, David, George, and Walter Jr; and Sisters Josephine and Claire.
Leaving to mourn her beloved family. Her son Scott (Ruth), daughter Geri (Rodney), Daughter in Law Lorraine (Daryl).
Granchildren: Melanie (Gus), Terry (Allyson), Kalyn (Andrew), Elisha, Natasha (Randy), Deanne (Jason)
Great Grandchildren: Morgan, Thomas, Alexander, Nicholas, Tianna, Brandon, Leeland, and Chyann
Sisters Janet and Rhyna, and brother Joe
With special fondness for lifetime friend Sophie, Nephews Earl (Marjorie) and Whytie (Mary) and Niece Elvie (Winston). Along with many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff and residents of Pearl House Manor in Mount Pearl, for the great care and admiration for our dear Fanny .
