Obituary

It is with great sadness in our hearts, his family announce the sudden passing of Ap Brown (age 86), beloved husband to Olive Brown (nee Keeping) for 56 years. He was a devoted father to Charlotte (Felix), Nancy (Bruce), Paula (Michael), Patsy (Nicholas) & Lori-Ann (Craig) and a proud grandfather to Ashley (Ian), Shelby, Nicholas, Robbie & Cameron.

Ap was a loyal and dedicated brother to Stanley (Trixie), Gerald (Selena), Marina (Ken), Pauline, Boyd (Eleanor), Yvonne (Fred) & Edward (Shirley), and was a wonderful uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He had many lifelong friends who will miss him dearly.

We find great comfort in knowing he is reunited with his mother Charlotte, father Jacob, Sister Emily, Brother in laws Caleb and Henry, nephews Alan and Jerry and stepmother Stella.

Ap was born and lived in Trinity, Bonavista Bay all his life. When he wasn't working for the town you could find him fishing off of Jakey's Spot or at his cabin, expertly cleaning cod for himself or whoever was lucky enough to pass by. He also loved being in the woods, especially topping up his wood pile.  We often said no tree within 5 feet was safe from him.

Ap had a way of making his presence known without raising a voice. He had big hands and an even bigger heart and loved everyone he knew. He approached life with a great sense of humor and always said what was on his mind.

We are sure he will always be remembered by those who loved and knew him.

In keeping with  COVID-19 recommendations and restrictions, visitation and funeral service will be by invitation only.

Visitation for family will take place at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 12 noon to 2 P.M. with funeral service to follow at 3 P.M. officiated by Rev. Daphne Parsons. Interment to follow at St. Alban's Anglican Church Cemetery, Trinity.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity.
